How to Restore Outlook Calendar Entries

MS Outlook is a standard email client and is extensively used by most of the business and office users. Outlook is a reliable application, but you may sometimes come across issues with its data. Most specific problem is when you delete Outlook PST items such as Outlook Calendar. Outlook Calendar comes integrated with e-mails, contacts, task, RSS feeds, and other MS Outlook Objects. Outlook calendar is an Outlook scheduling component which manages tasks, schedule appointments, events, organize meetings and so on. When you delete calendar entries or someone does it unintentionally, then  it leads to a situation where all the calendar entries are removed. Then, how will you restore lost calendar items from Outlook? If you land up in this kind of situation, then don’t panic. You can easily retrieve lost calendar items from MS Outlook using reliable Outlook recovery software.

Microsoft Outlook is the personal information manager and communication application that gives you a unified place to manage email, calendars, contacts, journals and other personal information. Outlook brought revolution in the world of email client since it bought a whole set of new and interactive features. The new version of Outlook supports PST files of size up to 20GB compared to the 2GB file size limit that existed in the previous versions of Outlook. Even though the fear of corruption of personal storage files due to oversize is eliminated, there are other scenarios in which PST file corruption could occur. The PST file may get corrupted due to various reasons such as accidental deletion of calendar entries and PST file, improper shutdown of Outlook program, sharing of a common PST file over a network, PST file header corruption, impact of third party applications, external threats, etc.

The option to remove all the calendar entries is same as for the other items in Outlook. If you click ‘Delete’ after organizing them by category and selecting all items, then it empties the calendar folder and moves to the ‘Delete Items’ folder. If you empty ‘Delete Items’ folder too, then all the calendar entries are lost permanently.

So to avoid these situations you should follow some precautions as mentioned below:

  • Always maintain backup for all of your essential PST files.
  • Keep updated antivirus in your system to avoid virus attack.
  • Close Outlook program before you shut down your computer.
